Will there be any nerfs for class balance

Will there be any nerfs for class balance

PVP wise will moonkins armor/damage reduction be “toned down” so they don’t play like mages in plate? Or how about, again PVP oriented, will druids continue to have as much mana regen-to-healing ratio (ie little mana for large heal with large mana regeneration) coupled with the ability to regen mana in bear form with current survivability that appears to not be balanced in comparison to the rest of the healing classes in the game?

I think this covers a little bit of the balance problems that were uncovered by blizz when they charted the makeup of arena teams. From seeing all the top rated arena teams with druids, the amount of a single spec (moonkind/resto) and experience of playing arenas that would be a pretty obvious question of “is this intended or unbalanced?” to me.

Again, like i said, all of your concerns seem very vague and not really backed up with facts.

Team Makeup – 2000+ rating:

2v2

Warrior/Druid 33%

Rogue/Druid 21%

Warlock/Druid 16%

Rogue/Priest 16%

Rogue/Mage 13%

(druids are on 70% of all 2v2s)

3v3

Rogue/Priest/mage 43%

Rogue/Warrior/Druid 17%

Warlock/Warrior/Druid 15%

Shaman/Warrior/Paladin 13%

Rogue/Warlock/Druid 12%

(druids are on 44% of all 3v3s)

5v5

Mage/Paladin/Priest/Shaman/Warrior 30%

Hunter/Paladin/Priest/Shaman/Warrior 24%

Mage/Druid/Priest/Rogue/Warlock 20%

Mage/Rogue/Priest/Shaman/Warlock 17%

Paladin/Priest/Shaman/Warlock/Warrior 9%

(druids are on 20% of all 5v5s)

I notice you aren’t calling for nerfs on rogues or warriors, even though they arguably have the largest representation across all brackets. Any reason for that? You were making vague and sweeping statements about all of arena when really you were only talking about one bracket of arena.

Now, of those percentages, here are the druid specs for balance:

Spec Makeup:

Druid 2v2 (2000+)

Dreamstate (22%)

34/0/27

Druid 3v3 (2000+)

Dreamstate (19%)

34/0/27

Druid 5v5 (2000+)

Dreamstate (10%)

34/0/27

If you’d done your research, you’d see that moonkins are well underrepresented in arena in all brackets so the claim the moonkins are mages in plate and are any sort of ‘OP’ or whatever seems silly. Only 22% of all druids in 2v2 arena above 2000 rating are a dreamstate build, 19% for 3v3 druids, and a whoppingly large 10% for 5v5 druids. Considering that only 20% of all 5v5 arena teams have druids on them period, i’d hardly call that overpowered. Compare that to warriors, who are on 33% of all 2v2 teams, 45% of all 3v3 teams, and 63% of all 5v5 teams. Or rogues, who are on 50% of all 2v2 teams, 72% of all 3v3 teams, and 37% of all 5v5 teams.

That means dreamstate druids are on:

15% of all 2v2 teams

8% of all 3v3 teams

3% of all 5v5 teams

If anything, moonkins could use some major buffs for arena, as actual moonkins make up so little of all the brackets they aren’t even mentioned at all in the stat breakdown list. The closest that comes to it is a Dreamstate build, which isn’t really a full balance build.

In addition, moonkins usually have half or less of the regen that a resto druid has, so again, it’s inaccurate and completely unreasonable to make a class wide claim and try to extend it to both or all three specs, let alone across all brackets of arena.

Now, onto the resto question. If you’d done any research at all, you’d see that a. resto druids are average in 3v3 and terribad at 5v5, and that b. feral charge is being switched with faerie fire in wrath, requiring 20 points in the tree instead of just 10.

This is what i meant by making vague statements and putting them in the appropriate class forums. It’s not ‘obvious’ at all. You don’t really even know what you’re saying, as most of what you said is inaccurate and false.

Balanced doesn’t mean ‘i should be able to beat all classes.’ Nor does it mean that druids are overpowered just because you have trouble with them. Are you just trying to troll the beta forums?
